Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks to hire a mid to senior level attorney to join its national Employee Benefits law practice. This is a great opportunity for a confident, self-motivated lawyer with a demonstrated ability to handle matters independently to build a practice in a collegial environment. We prefer candidates with law firm experience, excellent client relationship skills, practical insight, creativity, and a self-starter mindset.
Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in some or all of the following areas:
Private, tax-exempt, and public (governmental) retirement plan experience (401(k); 403(b); 457(b)) and defined benefit plans
M&A Benefits Support
409A and executive compensation
Health and welfare plans and specific health plan laws (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA)
ERISA litigation

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington, California, and New York is $225,000 to $330,000. Actual pay will be based on education, training, experience, and other factors. Full-time employees may be eligible for bonuses, health insurance, HSA, disability coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, and other voluntary benefits. Vacation typically averages around three weeks per year, with variations based on client and firm needs.
