Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, taking orders, and creating a welcoming and engaging experience for guests. This role requires a combination of excellent customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet guests warmly and respectfully. Assist with beverage selections, take orders accurately, and ensure a positive guest experience.
Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve drinks according to established recipes and standards. Ensure consistent quality and presentation of beverages.
Sales and Upselling: Promote additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Follow the GREET, SELL, UPSELL, THANK protocol, including providing receipts.
Cash Handling: Adhere to company cash policies, perform cash audits, and ensure accurate transactions for all guests.
Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area and equipment. Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures.
Inventory Management: Manage bar supplies by following ordering, receiving, and storage procedures. Report discrepancies to the manager.
Professional Conduct: Show respect to all co-workers and uphold critical policies such as INTEGRITY, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, and EFFICIENCY.
Safety and Security: Monitor the location for suspicious activity and report any concerns.
Personal Appearance:
· Maintain a professional and polished image with no visible offensive tattoos or piercings.
· Hair should be natural in color and styled professionally; shoulder-length hair must be neatly secured in a bun or ponytail.
· Makeup should be modest and professional.
· Males should be clean-shaven or keep facial hair trimmed to no longer than ¼ inch.
· Acrylic nails, nail polish and jewelry are not permitted.
· Uniforms must be clean and pressed.
Physical and Hour Requirements:
· Ability to lift 30-50 pounds.
· Expected to maintain 100% attendance, except for approved time-off.
· Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
· Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
· Must be able to stand in one place for extended periods, reach above the shoulders, and bend as needed.
· Ability to navigate the entire store, including the parking lot.
