About the Role
We are a busy creditor-side bankruptcy and foreclosure practice seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support our attorneys in managing a high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives under deadline pressure, and has hands-on experience representing creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and track proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, objections, and related bankruptcy pleadings
- Monitor case dockets (PACER/CM-ECF) and calendar critical deadlines
- Draft and review notices, affidavits, and correspondence related to creditor claims
- Coordinate with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel to obtain and verify loan, payment, and account documentation
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, including compiling exhibits and case files
- Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with court and firm procedures
- Support cross-over matters involving foreclosure and bankruptcy overlap (e.g., stay relief tied to foreclosure timelines)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy law, preferably on the creditor side
- Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local bankruptcy court rules
- Proficiency with PACER, CM-ECF, and case management software
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven docket
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Paralegal certificate or associate/bachelor’s degree preferred (not required with sufficient relevant experience)

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
