Overview
The Salt Lake Legal Defender Association (SLLDA) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and inform stakeholders and local partners of the work that SLLDA manages. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to internal leadership, city and county stakeholders, and local partner organizations. The analyst will play a key role in leveraging data to inform strategic decisions, improve service delivery, and enhance equity and justice within our community. This position will be in charge of maintaining SLLDA’s data and data management system.
Duties
Collect, clean, and manage data from various internal systems and external sources.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support operational and strategic planning.
Present findings to county and city stakeholders, internal leadership, and partner organizations in a clear and actionable format.
Collaborate with teams across the office to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
Use data insights to recommend improvements in processes, programs, and client outcomes.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Support efforts to track and evaluate office performance, caseload trends, and community impact.
Assist in the design and refinement of data collection systems and tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or a related field.
1–3 years of professional experience in data analysis, evaluation, or related work.
Proficiency in using data platforms (e.g., Excel, DOMO, or Power BI, etc.).
Knowledge of data design principles and data quality best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
