A leading independent Hungarian law firm is seeking a talented Banking & Finance Associate with 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience to join its highly regarded finance practice in Budapest.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financing transactions, advising an impressive client base that includes banks, financial institutions, sponsors, investors and corporate borrowers.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of finance matters, including:
- Acquisition and leveraged finance
- Real estate finance
- Corporate lending
- Refinancing and restructuring transactions
- Project finance and infrastructure financings
- Renewable energy and energy transition projects
- Security packages and intercreditor arrangements
- Cross-border financing transactions
- General banking and financial regulatory matters
The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to take responsibility for managing transactions while working closely with experienced partners on complex, high-value matters.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have:
- 3–6 years’ PQE gained within a recognised banking & finance practice
- Strong experience advising on banking and finance transactions, with exposure to project finance considered highly advantageous
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience managing multiple transactions simultaneously
- A commercial, pragmatic approach to client service
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Fluent English; Hungarian language skills would be advantageous but are not essential for all candidates, depending on experience
