Our Banking & Finance Team
Our practice is one of the foremost in Greece with an expertise in both benchmark and mainstream domestic and cross-border transactions. We act for international and domestic banks, investment firms and other financial institutions, funds and public and private companies which do business in Greece.
Over the last decades, we have participated in the vast majority of significant deals to have taken place in terms of both complexity and value and have structured and executed numerous pioneering transactions. An integral part of our practice is drafting and reviewing complex documentation, including for financing, refinancing, rescheduling or restructuring transactions, in most cases involving security over assets located in Greece or corporate guarantees by Greek companies.
The Opportunity
We have an opening for an Associate lawyer to join our Banking & Finance Law team. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in Banking and Finance Law, who are keen to become an integral member of the firm and to build on their experience and knowledge, working within a top-tier Banking & Finance Law practice.
You will be working on a wide variety of transactions, including secured, unsecured, syndicated and bi-lateral lending, corporate financings, acquisition finance, asset finance, securitisation and sale and purchase and management of non-performing exposures within a highly established team with significant sector-specific experience.
Required Qualifications
· Up to 4 years of professional experience in banking and finance and corporate and commercial
· Must have a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) and a strong academic record. A Master’s degree (LLM) or equivalent postgraduate diploma from a well-acclaimed law school in Greece or abroad (preferably in Banking and Finance Law) will be considered an asset.
· Must be admitted to the Athens or one of the regional Bar Associations in Greece.
· Experience in a banking institution would be considered a plus.
· Able to work in both Greek and English.
