Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pre-Litigation Assistant to join our personal injury firm. This position requires someone with excellent writing skills who can independently handle a variety of personal injury demands, including car accidents, slip and falls, government accidents, dog bites, and minor compensation claims. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Write comprehensive personal injury demand letters for various cases, ensuring all details are accurate and professionally presented.
Handle cases independently, managing multiple demands with minimal errors.
Organize and review medical records accurately, requesting additional medical records if needed without hesitation.
Calendar and manage all time-sensitive deadlines to ensure tasks are completed promptly and effectively.
Prioritize tasks while working on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Maintain open communication with all team members, particularly Attorneys within the firm, to ensure the smooth handling of cases.
Take accountability for errors but quickly correct them and learn from mistakes.
Demonstrate the ability to ask questions when unsure about task completion to ensure quality work.
Work efficiently and quickly, ensuring demands are drafted and submitted on time.
Take ownership of projects and follow through without requiring constant supervision.
Be open to overtime when needed to meet deadlines or workloads.
Maintain a high standard of grammar and writing with zero tolerance for errors.
Take constructive criticism well and apply feedback to improve work quality.
Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
2 years of prior experience in personal injury law firm writing demands.
Excellent written communication skills with a focus on grammar and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must be able to thrive in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
Open to constructive feedback and willing to make improvements.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to commute to the office location.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
