Associate Attorney – Civil Defense
Johnson Hanan Vosler Hawthorne & Snider is a well-established and respected civil defense firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing team. Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Assist in all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Manage case files.
Assist with trial preparation and attend trials as needed.
Analyze and interpret complex legal issues.
Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and case law.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Oklahoma Bar.
0-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience in medical malpractice defense or insurance defense is a plus.
