Job Overview
Small midtown law firm near Grand Central Terminal seeks a part time Litigator with a minimum three to five years commercial Litigation experience to assist with our overflow motion and appellate practice. Can work from home. Must have good research and writing skills and be able to meet deadlines.
Duties
- Draft legal documents such as briefs, memorandum of law, pleadings, motions, opposition papers, appeals, etc.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; with active bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum three to five (3 to 5) years commercial litigation experience.
- Experienced in conducting legal research using LexisNexis (or Westlaw, if that is what you have access to)
- Must be familiar with court procedures and methods.
Compensation : $50-$75/hour depending on your experience. Will consider additional compensation if you have special skills and/or experience.
