Shlesinger & deVilleneuve is a regional law firm with offices throughout Oregon. We are a plaintiff oriented firm helping injured folks get back on their feet after traumatic events like car crashes or on the job injuries.
We are currently hiring in our Roseburg office. We are looking for an office/legal assistant in our personal injury practice to help with case/client management, organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities include general administrative/legal assistance with file management duties such as obtaining medical records and billing, managing and organizing client files, updating records, drafting correspondence, communicating with medical offices, clients and insurance adjusters, and providing general administrative support.
Skills
Working knowledge of office equipment (fax, copier, printers, etc.)
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Thorough understanding of office management procedures
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Qualifications
Legal administrative experience
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience with document management systems and litigation support
Knowledge of personal injury law and other relevant legal areas a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,100.00 – $3,500.00 per month
