Associate – Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
Award winning boutique IP law firm is seeking an Associate attorney.
This is a hybrid role.
Your duties will be to:
Consult with clients to ascertain technical details about inventions;
Review patent applications and complex terminology;
Analyze data to advise or recommend solutions;
Interview clients to ascertain technical details of the invention to be patented;
Analyze information on patent applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office;
Analyze claim rejections;
Recommend specific solutions for the preparation of the claim amendments;
Provide legal opinions regarding infringement and validity of patents.
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering;
Law degree from an ABA accredited law school;
Admission to at least one State bar;
Strong academic credentials;
Registered to practice before the USPTO;
One or more years of experience in prosecuting patent applications;
Industrial experience is a plus.
