Attorney 4 – Enforcement Jobs in Columbus, OH at State of Ohio Jobs
Our busy law firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients and ensure we’re operating effectively. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries from prospective new clients, and handling various errands and tasks as needed. Compensation:
$30,000 – $40,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals
Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary
Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
Qualifications:
Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required
At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks
Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products
