Job Description
Creditor’s Rights firm seeks an Attorney for high volume practice. License to practice law in Louisville is required. Attorney will need to appear for in-person court around the Louisville Metro Area and telephonic/virtual appearances statewide. Because this is an entry-level position, the candidate will be trained as appropriate. You are not expected to know everything but will be expected to learn and grow into the role.
Duties include:
Negotiating with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases.
Legal Research.
Handling a caseload and providing analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks.
Traveling to various courts within Louisville as legal representation in court hearings and other legal proceedings.
Working with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.
Treating all consumers/defendants with fairness and respect while creating fair payment solutions that fit their financial situation.
Reviewing and drafting Legal Pleadings and Settlement Agreements.

Criminal Background Check.
Minimum Requirements:
J.D. from accredited law school with license to practice in Kentucky.
In-depth knowledge of Federal and State laws.
Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding time management skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Types of experience/skills that would make a candidate stand out:
Spanish fluency.
Prior experience in Creditor’s Rights, Bankruptcy or representing Debtors.
Litigation experience.
