Estrella, LLC is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our firm. A friendly work environment in the heart of Old San Juan awaits an applicant with the right mix of personality, background, and skills.
Paralegals, are focused on providing support to attorneys, investigating cases and provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process, including conducting interviews, drafting legal documents and attend deposition and trials.
Responsibilities:
Conduct investigation and initial case assessments.
Draft pleadings, motions and reports.
Identify and prepare exhibits, documents, and evidence.
Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
Attend technical inspections.
Summarize medical records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or Paralegal.
At least one (1) year of paralegal or related legal or compliance experience preferred.
Strong legal communication (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Excellent judgment and professionalism.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and utmost confidentiality.
Must be able to work in a team oriented.
Superior ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities, and meet deadlines on a daily basis.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Must have own transportation and active driver’s license
