A well-established legal practice is looking to expand its team and is seeking experienced Attorneys with a strong background in Medical Negligence and Personal Injury Litigation. Multiple opportunities are available, and experienced consultants are also encouraged to apply.
This role is ideal for attorneys with proven litigation experience, particularly in complex medical negligence matters.
Key Experience Required
- Extensive experience managing Medical Negligence claims.
- Experience in Personal Injury litigation, including Road Accident Fund (RAF) matters.
- Strong litigation experience from inception through to finalisation.
- Demonstrable experience handling complex medical negligence matters, including (but not limited to):
- Cerebral Palsy claims
- Surgical negligence claims
- Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) claims
- Other complex medical negligence matters
Essential Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a CV that clearly demonstrates:
- Proven experience managing personal injury claims, with a particular focus on medical negligence litigation.
- Details of significant litigation matters in which the attorney has been actively involved.
- A list of Personal Injury matters handled during the past two years, including case numbers.
- A list of Medical Negligence matters handled during the past two years, including case numbers, covering matters such as cerebral palsy, surgical negligence, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), and other medical negligence cases.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney.
- Strong litigation and court experience.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
- Ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail and client focus.
Location: Flexible within South Africa (Appointments will be made in Bloemfontein and other areas over South Africa).
Salary: R30 000 – R40 000 + commission potential
