Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain current knowledge of bank regulations.
Prepare and lead monitoring programs and may instruct junior officers or other staff conducting monitoring.
Review and analyze advertising materials. Perform research to determine what regulations are impacted and decide if the materials are in compliance. Provide approval on advertising materials to marketing.
Research regulations to respond to questions from other departments of the bank.
Facilitate the completion of compliance related projects.
Assist in managing Regulatory Compliance Examinations.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Intermediate to advanced PC skills for Microsoft Office
– Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to conduct research via written materials as well as electronic versions.
Ability to complete projects effectively.
Ability to achieve proficiency with varied department software.
Ability to work independently based on a set schedule.
Required Experience:
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of related compliance experience.
Preferred Experience:
Background in Regulatory Compliance or Compliance Audit.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Having attended the ABA/Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB) Undergraduate Compliance School.
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation.
