Responsibilities
Litigation Management:
Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury defense matters in federal court, focusing on cases within the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Develop and execute effective litigation strategies, overseeing case analysis, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Legal Research and Analysis:
Conduct legal research on federal laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategies.
Interpret statutes and legal opinions to advise clients accurately and promptly.
Client Interaction:
Maintain communication with clients regarding case developments and strategies.
Collaborate with clients to gather information and evidence for cases.
Court Appearances:
Represent clients in federal court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
Prepare and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
Negotiation and Settlement:
Engage in settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes ethically.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure seamless legal service delivery.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active Florida State Bar membership and admission to practice in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
2-5 years of legal practice with a focus on litigation.
1-2 years of federal court experience, preferably in personal injury defense.
Proven success in managing federal cases, including trials and hearings.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
