Position Overview
We are seeking two Legal Associates to join our Springfield, NJ office:
- Junior Associate (1–3 years of experience)
- Senior Associate (8+ years of experience)
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Associates will work closely with partners while also taking ownership of cases, developing the skills necessary to handle matters from inception through trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from intake through resolution or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions and participate in court appearances
- Engage in discovery, including document review and strategy
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Collaborate with a collegial team to develop case strategy
Qualifications
For Junior Associate (1–3 Years):
- 1–3 years of litigation experience (employment law preferred but not required)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Eagerness to learn and take on responsibility
For Senior Associate (8+ Years):
- 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law
- Experience managing cases independently
- Deposition and courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Ability to mentor junior attorneys and contribute to case strategy
For All Candidates:
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar (New York a plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
