Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate Lawyer at Most & Schneid, P.C., located in White Plains, NY, with some flexibility for remote work. The Associate Lawyer will assist in handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, mediation, separation agreements, and related legal matters. Daily tasks involve legal research, drafting correspondence and pleadings, representing clients during negotiations and court appearances, and collaborating with colleagues to develop case strategies. The role also includes client communication to ensure they remain informed and confident throughout their legal journey.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and analysis, particularly in family law matters
  • Strong negotiation, litigation, and courtroom skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for client interaction and collaboration
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
  • Active license to practice law in New York State and good standing with the NYS Bar
  • Experience in family law or related practice areas is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged cases with professionalism and empathy
  • Proficiency in legal technology and case management software
