An elite specialist International Arbitration practice is seeking an Associate (French Qualified) to join its Paris office.

The role will involve working closely with partners and colleagues across the firm on sophisticated international commercial and investment treaty arbitration matters involving parties across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with partners and colleagues to formulate case theory and dispute strategy

• Drafting complex written submissions and supporting the management of arbitration proceedings

• Managing research and document review exercises across large-scale disputes

• Assisting with the preparation of witness and expert evidence

• Liaising directly with clients, witnesses, experts, tribunals, and opposing counsel

• Supporting the wider arbitration practice on strategic and cross-border matters

Candidate profile:

• French qualified lawyer

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in high-value international commercial and/or investment treaty arbitration

• Excellent academic background with a French education and undergraduate background essential

• French and full business proficiency in English

• Additional language capabilities would be advantageous

• Strong technical understanding of international arbitration procedure and practice

• Excellent drafting, analytical, and organisational skills

• Ability to work effectively within lean, high-performing international teams
