Litigation Attorney – California (Remote)
Our client, a dynamic law firm specializing in financial services, is looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their growing California team. This is a remote position, but candidates must be licensed to practice in California and participate in CA Court proceedings in person.
About the Role:
In this role, you will manage both pre-litigation and litigation matters, primarily focusing on evictions. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients while driving case strategy from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee litigation matters from initiation to resolution, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing legal briefs, and conducting discovery.
Handle pre-litigation cases, focusing on resolving real property title issues and providing strategic legal advice.
Collaborate with clients to develop and approve case budgets and litigation strategies.
Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences, both remotely and in-person.
Contribute to bankruptcy motions, hearings, and adversary proceedings as needed.
Take on additional legal and administrative projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Active California bar license.
At least 1 year of eviction litigation experience.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to managing cases.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other standard legal software tools.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize a high-volume caseload efficiently.
Location:
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be licensed in California and can reside anywhere in CA.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary ranging from $70k-$130k, depending on experience.
Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for compensation above this range.
Annual bonus opportunity.
Billable Hours Requirement: 1920 hours annually.
