Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. The Legal Assistant/Paralegal will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the attorneys in the office. These tasks may include legal document preparation, communication with clients and other parties, administrative assistance, and providing support to the legal team in various legal matters and processes.
Qualifications
SIJS experience is required!
Must be bilingual (Spanish and English)
Most be a rockstar at filing and processing special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS) cases
Knowledge of immigration law and legal procedures
Experience in legal document preparation
Experience working in the immigration law setting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to provide administrative assistance to attorneys
Familiarity with legal assistant duties and responsibilities
Friendly, positive, can-do attitude while at work
Spanish language skills
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include:
Experience in a law firm or legal environment
Knowledge of specific areas of law, mostly immigration but estate planning, criminal defense, or civil law experience is a plus
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in work
Proficiency in using legal software and tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
