Position: Associate General Counsel, Logistics, Long Beach
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate General Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will serve as a key legal advisor to the company and its affiliates worldwide, providing strategic legal counsel and supporting the company’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
:
Provide legal advice and counsel on a wide range of legal matters, including contract law, corporate governance, employment law, and
regulatory compliance
. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, and service agreements. Manage litigation matters, including overseeing outside counsel and coordinating legal strategies. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including transportation regulations and maritime law.
Advise on the legal implications of business decisions and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks. Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations as needed. Stay current on legal and regulatory developments that impact the company’s business. Qualifications :
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school in the U.S. Active member of the State Bar in the U.S. Minimum 2 years of experience in the transportation / logistics industry. Experience in maritime law is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and employment law. Excellent written and verbal
communication
, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
