Insurance Defense firm seeks a full time entry level Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our growing team. Our office, with two locations in Suffolk and Nassau Counties, is a hybrid office. The ideal candidate have worked in an office environment ( legal field would be preferred) and should possess a solid knowledge of MS Word, case management systems and pleadings. Responsibilities will include preparation of answers, opening files, clerical duties, and records retrieval. A paralegal certificate or degree is not required though is a plus in our consideration. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated with a proven ability to meet deadlines, possess a strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently maintain and monitor a diary. Experience of 0-2 years as a Legal Assistant or working in a high volume, fast paced environment/law firm is preferred. This position would be based on our Suffolk location with training (up to 6 months) . Your cover letter must include a salary requirement and details of past law office experience if any.
