Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic global legal organization of a leading global fast fashion E-Commerce group. As an in-house legal counsel, your role will be to facilitate the company’s local business in the APAC and international growth by working with new and existing business and legal teams around the world and advising senior stakeholders across the company.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, team-oriented, solution-focused and a quick learner. You must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about e-commerce and innovation, enjoy a fast-paced environment and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Disciplines required in our fast-growing global business.
Responsibilities
- Provide full scale of legal and regulatory advice to the company with regard to its regional business and operations;
- Partner and work with other SHEIN lawyers and business colleagues regionally and globally to drive alignment and share best practices;
- Monitor regional legislation development, and provide business compliance guidelines and relevant update;
- Cooperate with International teams for significant litigations and disputes in relevant jurisdictions;
- Anticipate risks and handle regulatory enquiries and disputes and dealing with cross-boarder issues with sound judgement and big picture and strategic lense;
- Provide legal and compliance training;
- Be proactive in the provision of legal consultancy services and guidance to regional business developments with regards to a broad range of products, services and issues;
- Manage corporate secretarial requirements, communicate with authorities and maintain necessary fillings; and
- Manage legal budget and external legal counsel.
Key Qualifications
- Post qualification experience needs to be 10+ years. Prior experience in both law firm and in-house legal team is essential;
- Experience in e-commerce, digital platforms or similar industry is a real advantage.
- Strong work ethic with excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, responsible and good sense of professional accountability.
- Ability to respond to changing demands and shifting priorities quickly in a fast past, high-growth environment.
- A willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and businesses.
- Being a good team player, positive, friendly, respectful to others, can-do and collaborative attitude whilst focused on maintaining the highest standards of business and professional conduct is essential.
- Mandarin is a plus.
