About the Company / Opportunity:
We are a growing retail company hiring an Associate General Counsel to join its Miami-based legal team. This is a high-impact, strategic legal role reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, offering exposure to a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice across commercial contracts, IP, employment, litigation, and compliance
Draft and negotiate licensing, vendor, and distribution agreements
Manage outside counsel and oversee litigation strategy
Ensure corporate governance and regulatory compliance
Partner with leadership and support legal team development
Must-Have Skills:
JD and active bar admission
4–7+ years of legal experience
Strong commercial, litigation, and IP background
Experience with compliance and corporate governance
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Leadership experience and ability to multitask in a fast-moving business
Experience in retail
Nice to Have Skills:
Familiarity with international legal matters and licensing agreements
