The role will support legal initiatives across construction, financing, and commercial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on operations, regulatory matters, and corporate transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to finance, procurement, and project development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Advise senior leadership on risk mitigation, corporate governance, and strategic legal planning.
- Manage legal aspects of permitting and operational expansion.
- Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory agencies on complex legal issues.
- Conduct legal research and anticipate industry trends impacting company operations.
Must-Have Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
- Experience supporting heavy industry, energy, natural resources, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive businesses.
- 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong track record supporting corporate governance.
- Ability to manage multiple complex legal projects concurrently.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior experience in an early-stage, fast-growing company.
- BigLaw and in-house experience.
