Pahle India Foundation (PIF), chaired by Dr. Rajiv Kumar, former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, is inviting applications for the position of Associate Fellow/Senior Research Associate / Research Associate – Political Economy. Researcher will play a critical role in policy research on themes related to economic governance, institutional reforms, and public policy effectiveness. This role requires strong research capabilities, policy understanding and writing skills.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in economics, public policy and law, with proven experience in political economy research, policy advisory, publications or LAMP fellows.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality research and policy analysis on political economy, governance frameworks, and regulatory policies.
Engage with government agencies, policymakers, and industry leaders to provide evidence-based policy recommendations.
Prepare policy briefs, reports, and research papers on economic and governance-related challenges.
Track national and international policy developments.
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including academia, think tanks, and industry experts, to drive impactful policy interventions.
Ensure adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Strong understanding of political economy, governance, and economic policymaking.
Proven research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective documentation and presentations.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have a Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Public Policy or Law.
Experience in in political economy research, policy advisory or LAMP fellows as per details below:
Research Associate – 2-5 years experience
Senior Research Associate – 5-7 years experience
Associate Fellow – 5-10 years experience
