The Opportunity
We are excited to share that we are looking for a talented Associate (minimum 4 years PQE in employment law) to join our high performing team and work with our blue chip clients. Our boutique firm exclusively provides employment law services to businesses.
What you’ll do
The team provides employment law advice on workforce strategy, advice and representation in relation to employment and industrial relations disputes (including general protections, unfair dismissals, bullying disputes), employment aspects of M&A and projects transactions, advice on compliance (including in relation to employment, anti-discrimination, safety and payroll issues), interface with industrial and safety regulators, including investigations and prosecutions, and all types of Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings.
You will be responsible for running matters whilst working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will also play an important role in developing further business opportunities with existing and new clients. What you’ll bring
- Experience as an Associate delivering advice on a range of employment law and industrial relations matters from a mid or top tier firm.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong skills and experience in providing strategic advice on workforce strategy, safety, regulatory and compliance advice and all types of Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings (advocacy skills are desirable but not essential), employment aspects of M&A transactions. Ideally you would also have experience with enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes and industrial action.
- Expertise in the Australian employer-side landscape.
- Self-motivation and an ability to thrive in a remote environment. Excellent communication skills are therefore critical.
