Job Description

Provide expert legal services and counsel on a variety of matters, including the interpretation and application of laws and regulations.
Manage contractual relationships and address liability issues.
Prepare and review complex contracts involving significant financial sums, ensuring they align with our company’s best interests.
Offer opinions on intricate legal matters that have substantial financial impacts on the company.
Be well-versed in our company’s policies and procedures, contributing to their development and continuous improvement.

Advises and counsels senior management on legal issues related to the Company’s Medicaid operations; researches and prepares legal memoranda and opinions; assists management with risk identification and management.
Prepares highly complex contracts and provides opinions on matters with substantial financial impact.
Drafts, negotiates, and reviews legal agreements and significant correspondence.
Assists with business transactions, new product development, and negotiations with attorneys and management.
Supervises litigation and oversees outside counsel; responds to administrative complaints and represents the Company in legal matters; negotiates settlements.
Provides legal training to clients on relevant issues.
Represents the Company before federal and state regulatory authorities; ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including regulatory filings.
Researches, interprets, and advises on laws, regulations, and legislative proposals; monitors legislative activities and aids management in policy positions.
Participates in policy development and implementation of new programs and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Hiring Requirements
Graduate of an accredited law school.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or must obtain license within 1 year of employment.
Background in Medicaid highly preferred.
Salary Range
