We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will independently manage departmental projects for the Counsel in assigned areas of client responsibility—such as Operations, Development, Sales, Regulatory, or Health Services—with attorney supervision. You will also provide comprehensive administrative support, including conducting research on regulatory updates and licensing requirements.

Compensation: $50,000 – $70,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
How you will impact the team:
Drafting and reviewing various contracts (e.g., medical and community subleases, construction and architect agreements, General Services contracts)
Assisting with the formation and maintenance of corporate entities, including preparation of legal documents such as articles, by-laws, operating agreements, and resolutions
Providing comprehensive administrative support, including research on regulatory updates and licensing requirements
Coordinating with Risk Management to generate monthly claim reports and attend claim review meetings
Supporting Marketing with name reservations, trademark searches, and maintaining the trademark database
Preparing various legal filings and licensing applications
Administering the organization’s document retention policy and training business units on compliance
Conducting legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and legal codes
Acting as a liaison between the Legal Department, other Home Office departments, and communities as needed
This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively across departments while building expertise in legal operations and regulatory compliance.
What you will need:
Minimum of 5 years of experience is required
Paralegal course of study preferred
