As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will be part of the legal team working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth public software company on corporate, procurement, regulatory and other legal matters, interacting with stakeholders spread across different jurisdictions, whilst reporting into the Head of Legal, India.

What You’ll Do At Pega

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with third party service providers.
  • Assist the legal department team in handling corporate advisory and compliance matters in different jurisdictions.
  • Provide guidance on labour laws and assist stakeholders in ensuring compliance.
  • Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations pertaining to the relevant business function and highlight the same for implementation within the Company.
  • Work with the Head of Legal, India on various matters including drafting department processes, support for the Global ESG, working group effectively addressing legal issues in a timely and proactive manner, identifying and mitigating risks and providing training to stakeholders on regulatory or policy matters.
  • Developing the organization’s policies on global Trademarks,
  • Developing one – pagers SOPs for industry-specific issues, corporate governance.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on new labour laws.

Who You Are

  • Candidate with excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
  • Experience in analysis, review, and drafting of complex vendor contracts required.
  • Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements relating to contracts, technology, trademarks and security.
  • An individual who is reliable and dependable as a team member and takes accountability to complete assignments with a sense of urgency without compromising on quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of integrity.
  • Flexibility to take on special projects/additional responsibilities with an eagerness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail with an ability to work independently.
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.
  • Works well with internal “clients” and other stakeholders.

What You’ve Accomplished

  • A qualified lawyer with 8+ years of relevant practical legal experience gained inhouse with GCCs and / or with top ranked law firms.
  • Drafting and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOP), board and shareholder meeting documents, minutes of meetings, rejoinders, legal trackers, global compliance sheets and others.
  • Research on changing laws and support projects as requested by the respective departments.
  • Preparing statutory forms/documents and support corporate/ government filings.
  • Collaborate with global legal team and assist in global compliance/filings.
  • Provide support in creating a repository of documents for India and Global Statutory Audit.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and partners both internally and externally.
