The Associate Corporate Counsel will assist the General Counsel in ensuring legal compliance, providing counsel, identifying applicable laws, and advising on risk management to support business activities. The role involves handling a variety of legal matters related to the company’s operations.
Preferred Experience:
2-6 years in litigation, employment, or commercial/transactional law.
Education/Certification:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Licensed in Indiana or a state with reciprocity, with the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage litigation from pre-litigation to resolution.
Review and draft contracts, address risks, and resolve disputes.
Stay updated on industry regulations and legislative changes.
Advise on compliance related to employment, transportation, and commercial law.
Handle commercial disputes, collections, and bankruptcies.
Perform legal research and analysis.
Identify legal risks in transactions and business plans.
Assist with due diligence and legal documentation.
