Job Summary
The Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that our organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs that mitigate risks and promote ethical practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial regulations, tax regulations, contract law, OSHA regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Duties
Ensure that the company is appropriately licensed as a business and/or contractor in each state.
Ensure the company has the appropriate sales tax licenses in each state.
Review contracts to ensure that the terms are beneficial to the company.
Ensure the company is meeting OSHA requirements.
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of risk or non-compliance.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure understanding and implementation of compliance requirements.
Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related issues.
Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the organization’s operations.
Skills
Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying compliance issues.
Strong understanding of contract terminology.
Strong communication skills for effectively conveying complex regulatory information to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining independence in oversight functions.
A self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to learn independently, including researching and studying to determine the correct course of action.
A financial or legal background is a plus for this position!
This role is essential for fostering a culture of integrity within the organization while ensuring that all operations align with legal standards. The Compliance Manager will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s reputation and legal standing through diligent oversight and proactive risk management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $73,000.00 per year
