Robert Half Legal has partnered with a mid-sized plaintiff’s law firm in downtown Chicago on an Associate Attorney (Personal Injury) position. This attorney will manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from initial filing through resolution, including settlement, mediation, and trial. The ideal candidate will be a strong advocate with litigation experience, exceptional client service skills, and a desire to help injured clients obtain favorable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury and workers compensation matters from filing through resolution
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Attend and argue motions, status hearings, case management conferences, and other court appearances
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda in support of litigation strategy
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and medical providers to develop and advance cases
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Participate in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and courtroom support
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $80,000–$110,000+, depending on experience
