Job Overview
Well established law firm with multiple locations is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to work in the busy probate and estate planning division of our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to work with clients in preparation of estate documents and a willingness to handle probate court matters. Work will be with a firm shareholder available to mentor in-house. This role requires excellent communication skills and empathy for clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for working with legal staff in preparing estate documents and probate court filings.
Duties
Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, probate court pleadings, motions, and contracts.
Represent clients in probated court court proceedings .
Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain accurate case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on document preparation and case progress and address any concerns.
Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the South Carolina bar.
Strong knowledge and/or willingness to learn probate law.
Experience working in a law office setting is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
