Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Legal Negotiator to join our legal team. This role requires strong project management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage legal cases effectively. As a Senior Legal Negotiator you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by conducting thorough document reviews, transcribing legal documents, and assisting with client interviews.
Duties
Manage multiple legal cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Conduct comprehensive document reviews to prepare case files and support litigation efforts.
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing exhibits and evidence.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
Maintain organized case files and documentation in compliance with legal standards.
Utilize project management skills to coordinate tasks among team members and ensure smooth workflow.
Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Requirements
Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong knowledge of personal injury law and securities law is preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone etiquette.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Attention to detail with strong clerical skills for accurate documentation handling.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
