Job Overview

A Boutique Estate Planning and Probate Firm serving Denver and Serving Areas

About the Firm We are a boutique estate planning and probate firm that helps individuals and families across the Denver metro area navigate life’s biggest transitions with clarity, compassion, and confidence. We are small by design, yet ambitious in scope. We set ambitious goals for our growth, and we support our decisions with data rather than guesswork. Our four core values, integrity, communication, trust, and optimism, are not simply displayed on a wall; they guide how we operate every day. As we grow, we are looking for an Associate Attorney who wants to grow with us.

About the Role

We are seeking an early career Associate Attorney to join our estate planning and probate team. You will work closely with our founding attorney and the rest of the team to guide clients through wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and probate administration, from the initial consultation through the final signature. If you want meaningful client contact, hands on mentorship, and a genuine opportunity to build expertise in a growing practice, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Advise clients on special needs planning, Medicaid planning, and asset protection.
  • Meet with clients to understand their goals and communicate legal concepts clearly and accessibly.
  • Manage probate and trust administration matters, including court filings, deadlines, and communication with executors, administrators, and beneficiaries.
  • Support guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research on matters related to estates, taxation, and probate.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure client matters progress efficiently.
  • Build client relationships that extend beyond the completion of paperwork.

Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Colorado.
  • Early career experience preferred; prior experience in estate planning or probate is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong writing, drafting, and research skills.
  • A genuine interest in estate planning, probate, and elder law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate sensitive and emotional conversations with blended families, unmarried partners, and families with special needs children.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client matters simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset and an interest in growing within a small, close knit firm.

What’s in It for You

  • Direct mentorship from experienced attorneys who are genuinely invested in your professional growth.
  • The opportunity to build meaningful, lasting client relationships and to see the direct impact of your work on families’ lives.
  • Substantial opportunities for personal and professional development as the firm expands across the Denver metro area.
  • A data driven culture in which decisions are guided by evidence rather than assumption.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, including a competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, and support for continuing legal education.
  • A sustainable, manageable pace of work that supports long term well being rather than burnout.

Why Work for Us

At our firm, you will not be simply one more associate managing a stack of files. We are a small firm with ambitious goals, guided by data, and genuinely enjoyable to work for. Our clients consistently describe our team as compassionate, responsive, and easy to work with, and we want every attorney who joins us to uphold that same reputation. If you are seeking a place to grow your legal career, sharpen your skills, and perform work that meaningfully helps people, we would welcome your application.
