Location: New York
Mendes & Mount, LLP seeks an Associate with at least three years of experience in insurance coverage litigation (including experience in: policy analysis, the drafting of pleadings, written and document discovery, conducting and defending depositions, participating in oral arguments in Court, and drafting motions) to join its Litigation Practice Group.
We are searching for candidates with superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and a team-player mentality to join our team. Attorneys must be admitted in the state of New York, although the Associate may handle cases venued across the US. Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility in all phases of litigation, including policy analysis, preparation of pleadings, drafting of preliminary motions, taking and defending depositions, discovery disputes, drafting of discovery motions, drafting of summary judgment motions, and trial preparation.
