We’ve partnered with a growing law firm with a sophisticated commercial real estate and affordable housing practice that is actively hiring a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney in Buffalo, NY. This is an opportunity for a mid-level real estate attorney to work on complex, multi-layered commercial and multifamily housing transactions, while advising developers on projects that create and preserve affordable housing. You will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients on complex transactions, with meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to develop further within a specialised practice.
What You’ll Work On

Representing owners and developers of commercial and multifamily real estate.

Supporting complex acquisitions and dispositions.

Working on joint ventures and development transactions.

Assisting with real estate financing transactions.

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents.

Supporting the team in running deals from inception through closing.

Working collaboratively with partners, clients and other members of the deal team.

Potentially supervising more junior members of the deal team as your experience permits.
What They’re Looking For

3-6 years of transactional commercial real estate experience. -
Meaningful experience with commercial and/or multifamily real estate.

Experience representing owners, developers or similar sophisticated clients.

Hands-on experience with several of the following: Acquisitions, Dispositions, Joint ventures, Development, Real estate financing.

Strong drafting and editing skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong academic credentials.

Ability to take ownership of matters and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Affordable housing experience is a plus, particularly LIHTC or other sophisticated affordable housing transactions.

Compensation & Benefits

$155,000-$185,000 base salary, commensurate with experience -
