Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable LITIGATOR to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in these areas of law: Wrongful Termination, Reverse Discrimination and Defamation of Character. This role requires exceptional writing and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of clients. The Attorney will be responsible for representing a former employee. This is a contingency based position. You win this case an we both can retire. The corporation involved has 49,000 employees.
Duties
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, advocating for their best interests.
Provide expert legal advice on various matters including Workers Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law, Estate Planning, Securities Law, and Immigration Law.
Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in practicing law with a focus on Workers Compensation Law or Personal Injury Law preferred.
Familiarity with estate planning processes and securities regulations is a plus.
Strong legal writing skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements or litigations.
Experience with immigration law is beneficial but not mandatory.
Prior experience in a legal administrative role is advantageous.
