Do you have clerical experience in a court or legal environment? We encourage you to apply for Deputy Court Clerk II in Chatham County Juvenile Court if you meet the minimum qualifications.
Examples of Duties
Under general supervision, you
Perform specialized administrative support and disseminate technical information to ensure proper and efficient court operations.
Examine, process, prepare, and maintain case files and other legal documents.
Prepare reports requiring accuracy, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.
Find solutions to complex administrative problems.
Assist the public by phone and in person using customer service and communication skills.
May occasionally have a workday that extends beyond regular hours, and you may have to work some weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, and
At least one (1) year of experience as a Deputy Court Clerk I or closely related; or
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Court experience.
During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.
In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing.
Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
