Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal practice areas, including civil litigation of first party cases and personal injury. estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law and regulations, patent law, personal injury law, and general litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal research, writing, negotiation, and case management while demonstrating a proactive approach to client advocacy and legal problem-solving.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across various practice areas
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests with precision and clarity
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witness testimony
- Participate in court depositions and client meetings to gather information and advocate effectively on behalf of clients
- Manage legal cases efficiently through case management software, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate
- Provide legal counsel to clients by explaining complex legal concepts clearly and professionally
- Support attorneys in negotiations for settlements or contractual agreements while maintaining a focus on favorable outcomes
Experience
- Prior experience working in a law office setting with exposure to litigation or transactional work preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of procedural law and statutory research methods across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience handling personal injury cases is preferable
- Proven ability to draft legal documents accurately and persuasively under supervision
- Familiarity with court procedures including depositions, motions, and trial processes
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive case analysis
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, team collaboration, and courtroom advocacy
