A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Bridgeport, CT to manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution. This role offers hands‑on courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and growth opportunities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Duties
Manage cases from inception through pre‑litigation, litigation, and resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Take and defend depositions. Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
Requirements
1+ year(s) of litigation experience, personal injury preferred. Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw. Ability to draft detailed legal documents clearly and accurately. Effective negotiation and communication skills. Experience with legal administrative tasks including document management and case tracking. Organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Connecticut bar license (required).
