Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including Immigration Law and Criminal Law. This role requires excellent negotiation and litigation skills, as well as proficiency in legal research tools. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal matters, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in removal/deportation proceedings before U.S. immigration courts and advise on immigration relief options. Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications, including family-based petitions, asylum claims, waivers, U visas, T visas, adjustment of status, and naturalization. Represent clients in state and federal criminal courts in misdemeanor and felony cases. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda related to both immigration and criminal matters. Prepare and develop case strategies to defend clients. Advise non-citizen clients on the immigration consequences of criminal charges (Crimmigration). Maintain clear communication with clients with respect to changes and updates in immigration law. Negotiate plea agreements with prosecutors to minimize immigration consequences. Attend master calendar and individual hearings before immigration judges. Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony and represent them in interviews and hearings with USCIS, ICE, and EOIR. Collaborate with paralegals, interpreters, and other staff to manage caseload and ensure timely filing of documents.
Minimum Requirements
Ideal candidates should have a Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited U.S. University or Foreign Equivalent. Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least Florida. Strong written and oral advocacy skills required. Previous knowledge and experience working in both Immigration and Florida Criminal Law is highly desirable.

Pay: $73,154.00 – $85,000.00 per year
