Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in New York, NY to join their litigation team. The role involves working closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload, including casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability. This position offers immediate hands-on experience, including depositions and court appearances, within a collaborative team environment.
Duties
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review.
- Perform legal research and case analysis.
- Appear in New York courts as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability.
- Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission a plus.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
