General Statement:
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, performs responsible and independent functions in directing the daily operations of the agency’s Office of Recipient Rights. Provides or coordinates the protection of recipient rights for all directly operated or contracted services, including ensuring a neutral and compliant complaint resolution system. Performs related work as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in public administration, human services administration, health services administration or criminal justice AND six (6) years of experience in investigations, investigative report writing and complaint resolution, AND two (2) years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity involving investigations.
OR
Bachelor’s degree, with a major in criminal justice, paralegal studies, psychology, social work or human services AND seven (7) years of experience in investigations, investigative report writing and complaint resolution AND two (2) years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity in investigations, or in a progressively responsible position in an Office of Recipient Rights (ORR), Protective Service Investigation Administration, State of MI Licensing Investigation Administration or Human Service Investigation Administration.
Additional Requirements:
Must take and successfully complete the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Recipient Rights (DHHS/ORR) required trainings, within ninety (90) days of hire.
Preferences:
experience with the mentally disabled population.
Veterans must submit Form DD214 to determine eligibility for Veterans’ Preference
