Our team is seeking an organized, self-motivated, and independent paralegal with experience in family law to join our practice.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal, preferably with at least 2 years of experience in family law. The ideal candidate will work independently and efficiently, with a strong ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. The role requires a thorough understanding of family law procedures, as well as the ability to prepare legal documents, assist attorneys in case preparation, and maintain client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist two attorneys in the preparation and management of family law cases (divorces, child custody, child support, alimony, etc.)
Draft legal documents
Manage case files and maintain organized and accurate records
Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff as needed
Prepare and file documents with the court
Ensure all deadlines are met and cases progress smoothly
Qualifications:
2 years of experience as a paralegal in family law preferred
Strong understanding of family law procedures and terminology
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
