We are looking for an Legal Assistant for our thriving family law & mediation practice.

Legal Assistant’s duties and responsibilities include: scheduling meetings and appointments, manage attorney’s calendar, e-filing, service of process, extensive verbal and written communication with potential clients, judicial staff and attorneys, perform intake interview and data entry, prepare exhibits and trial folders.

A good candidate should have some experience with a variety of office software such as outlook, google, and excel to be able to accurately handle administrative and legal duties.

Requirement: At least one year of office administrative experience.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the representative of the office. Duties including: communication, filing, organizing, purchasing supplies, and managing attorney’s calendar.
Schedule meetings and appointments
process mail and correspondences, scanning and organize documents
Prepare documents and exhibits
Manage attorney’s calendar
Perform intake and set up new files

Skills

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word and MS Outlook, in particular)
Familiarity with email scheduling tools like Outlook and Google Mail and Calendar
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
