Job Description
SK LAW, P.C. is a growing and dynamic, woman-owned and operated, family law firm with a focus on prenuptial agreements, civil Orders of Protection, divorce litigation, and custody litigation. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated family law attorney to join our Chicago office.
SK LAW was founded over a decade ago to provide sophisticated legal representation at a reasonable cost to persons in need of quality family law services. Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must have strong writing and organizational skills, experience in court proceedings, and is able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
The candidate will have the option to work remotely, except for required in-person court appearances and meetings.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Illinois State Bar.
3-5 years of experience practicing family law.
Strong negotiation, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
Experience litigating family law matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Attention to detail.
Ability to draft complex motions, memorandums, subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal documents/correspondence.
