Job Description:
Sargent Law Firm is seeking to add a full-time legal case manager/assistant in our Oceanside office. Candidates should be passionate about helping injured people and have a positive, upbeat attitude. We only hire team members we love to work with! There are also opportunities for growth and promotion within the firm as you gain experience and skills.
Job Duties:
– Open new files
– Obtain traffic-collision reports, wage loss records, insurance information and other evidence
– Communicate extensively with clients and the attorneys
– Communicate with insurance companies and lien holders
– Locate and retrieve medical bills/records and other case related records
– Coordination of medical treatment with clients
– Assist in preparation of settlement demands
– Assist with answering phone calls
Candidate Requirements:
– 1 year prior banking or medical billing experience (preferred)
– Ability to order, read and understand medical records and bills
– Maintain a positive attitude and work well with others
– Be reliable and punctual
– Empathetic and compassionate to our clients
– Strong multitasking and organizational skills
– Ability to independently manage time effectively to meet deadlines
– Ability to work within a paperless environment
– Proficient in typing
– References
Education:
– High school degree (required)
– Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Language:
– English (required)
– Bilingual in Spanish & English (preferred)
